The tutorial I decided to work with explored how to make text appear metallic using only After Effects, and not any external software. I thought the metal effect could bring a level of drama/texture/depth to the text in a way that's visually interesting while also reflecting on myself as a designer. I'm excited to see how this could translate into my final interstitial piece. The tutorial itself didn't turn out precisely how I wanted, probably also in part because I used a thicker font than the tutorial did. It might require some more fiddling around, but I did enjoy trying this out and getting a feel for how to push those default effects!
